6th Grade News Letter


We just started unit 9, and we will be focusing on main idea, author’s purpose, and claims. We are also working on a magazine article about what happened this school year.


We are finishing our debates and moving on to make picture books.


6th Grade

We will be displaying data and statistics. We will also be measuring volume.

6th Accelerated

We will be talking about translations, rotations, reflections, and dialations of 2-D figures. We will also learn about congruent and similar figures.


We are continuing to learn about weather and climate. Also we will be doing a project about climate change.

Social studies

We just finish learning about the difference of Sparta and Athens. We are going to learn about Alexander the Great and his empire.


Students have homework every night and are supposed to read 30 minutes every day. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
