Costumes:

We would like students to come to school on 10/29 dressed in their costumes. If your child’s costume has props or costume masks, or anything that would be challenging during the day, please let the classroom teacher know. We will store these items in their backpacks until the parade.

In choosing an appropriate costume for your child to wear at school, please adhere to the following guidelines:

  • No weapons or “look-alikes” of any kind (squirt guns, whips, plastic swords, etc.)
  • Ensure that costumes are appropriate and inoffensive to all ages at our school
  • Keep make-up and props to a minimum
  • Be certain that your child can see through any costume mask or head covering
  • Students’ face masks will have to remain on due to COVID protocols. Students can wear their costume masks over their face masks when we start the parade.

Halloween Parade 2:00 pm:

All parade spectators are asked to remain outside for the duration of the parade. Our parade will begin promptly at 2:00 PM and follow this route:

  • The students will exit at their grade level doors that they use for arrival/dismissal
  • After 2 laps around the school, we will re-enter the building at our grade level doors

All Halloween room celebrations will be facilitated by the classroom teacher at some point during the day. As a reminder, only staff will be present for the parties. Also, according to District procedures there will be no food allowed at any of the classroom parties. We ask that you do not send any food to school for your child to pass out to his/her classmates. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and we hope all our students have a fun and safe Halloween this year!
