Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
School Hours:
8:25-3:00pm
8:25-2:30pm (Wednesdays)
Please note there is no supervision prior to 8:25am and after 3:00pm (2:30 on Wednesdays). For safety purposes, please ask your child to check in with you after school. There is no supervision on our playground after 3:00pm. For safety purposes, we ask that students who do not have a parent picking him/her up at dismissal walk directly home.

First Day of Student Attendance Grades 1-6- Thursday, August 15th
1st Day Only-Whole School Welcome Arrival Line Up at Grade Level Doors (See Map Below)
*5th and 6th graders walk in Door 9

Classroom and Instructional teachers will be outside, by their grade level doors (see map below) waiting to greet students for the first day on our back playground blacktop area.  Busers will be escorted to the back to join their grade levels and teachers.

Beginning Friday, August 16th
All students will enter from either Main Door #1 or Door #6.  
Instructional Classes will enter through #3
Bussers will enter through Main Door #1 

Parking
Our West and East lots are closed for parking between 8:20-8:40am and 2:50-3:10 daily due to pedestrian traffic. There is limited parking on Cypress Ave. Please note that Cypress Ave. is a One-Way street during school hours. This area is used for drop off (see instructions below). The area is reserved for busses and daycares for picking up. If you are picking up your child, we encourage you to park in the neighborhood as the school zones are not available. 

Car Rider Arrival
We will have our parent drop off system in the front of the school, on Cypress Ave. between 8:25-8:40 am daily. Please note that, much like an airport drop off system, we ask that parents pull as far ahead as possible, without parking or exiting the car, as passengers will exit on the curb side.  The black arrows below indicate where you can drop off your child.

Walkers
If your child walks to and from school, we have a crossing guard on Cypress Ave. located by the East lot. We ask that students and parents use the crosswalks when arriving and leaving the school grounds. There will be staff outside during arrival and dismissal.

Dismissal 
Students will exit through their grade level doors (see below) every afternoon at 3:00pm (2:30 on Wednesdays). Staff will need to verify and make eye contact with the parent/guardian prior to releasing students. We ask for your patience as they dismiss students in a safe manner. 

Bussers and Day Care
Students who take the bus and attend Day Care will exit out Door #1 (big buses and Day Care) and Door #3 (smaller buses). Staff will assist students.  If your child is going home a different way, please contact your child’s teacher.

Kasper
Every morning, Kasper students will be in our gym. Please ring the Kasper bell by Door#1 when you arrive.
At 3:00pm, Kasper students will be dismissed from their classroom teacher, escorted by a student patrol into the gym to a Kasper supervisor. Please ring the Kasper bell, by Door#1, when picking up your child.
