This Wednesday, we celebrated World Kindness Day at Hanover. Our students engaged in acts of Kindness, words to “live by” and reminding each other what it means to be a true friend. Each class participated decorating our Kindness Pinwheels which are now in our front garden area. Stop by and read some of our students’ kind words!

In addition, Friday 11/8 marked the end of the first Trimester. We look forward to seeing all of our families the week of conferences, 11/25 and 11/26. The end of each trimester is a great time to pause and reflect on all that has happened. We recognize the importance of celebrating the victories, even the small ones. Students have so much to be proud of, and we love to hear their celebrations. Take some time this week to talk with your child about this past trimester. Feel free to use some of these questions in your conversation:

  • What are you most proud of this trimester?
  • How are you different now than you were in August?
  • What is one thing you are excited about coming up in the second trimester at Hanover?
  • What do you enjoy about our 1/2 day whole-school activities?
  • How can I, as your family member help you be successful this trimester?

Take care and have a wonderful weekend,

Amy Thompson and Kelsey McChristian
